Applications

Where This Product Is Used

Commercial Buildings

Commercial Buildings

Protection, switching, distribution and enclosure components for commercial and light-industrial electrical installations.

Residential Electrical

Residential Electrical

Protection, switching and backup-power components for residential distribution boards and low-voltage electrical systems.

Solar PV Systems

Solar PV Systems

Protection, connectivity and distribution components for photovoltaic arrays, string circuits and related solar DC systems.

UH-PC-MC01 is intended for DC cable-to-cable connections in photovoltaic module strings, extension leads and solar array wiring. The available conductor configurations support residential, commercial and utility-scale PV installations where the circuit voltage, cable size and connector current rating are matched to the system design.

Installation

Installation Guidance

1. Select the connector configuration that matches the PV conductor size: 2.5 mm² for the 30A version, 4 mm² for the 45A version, or 6 mm² for the 50A version.

2. Prepare the PV cable without damaging or cutting conductor strands. Use the stripping length required by the selected crimp contact and installation tooling.

3. Insert the conductor into the crimp contact and complete the crimp using the correctly sized crimping die.

4. Insert the terminated contact into the connector housing until it reaches the locking position.

5. Tighten the cable sealing section so that the connector seal correctly grips the PV cable jacket.

6. Mate the connector halves fully and verify that the locking mechanism has engaged.

7. Perform a visual and mechanical check before energizing the circuit. Confirm polarity, cable retention and complete mating.

Important Notes

Rated current applies to the corresponding UH-PC-MC01 connector configuration and does not replace cable ampacity or PV system design calculations.

IP67 protection applies after correct assembly and complete mating of matched connector components.

Use matched UHCCY connector halves from the same connector family. Similar external geometry does not guarantee safe intermateability with connectors from other manufacturers.

Tin-plated copper contacts are supplied as standard. Silver-plated copper contacts are available on request.

Do not connect or disconnect the connector under electrical load.

Certification documents depend on the selected production configuration and destination-market requirements. Contact UHCCY for documentation applicable to your project.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What cable sizes are available for the UH-PC-MC01 solar connector?

UH-PC-MC01 is available for 2.5 mm², 4 mm² and 6 mm² PV conductors. The corresponding connector configurations are rated at 30A, 45A and 50A respectively.

Which current rating should I choose?

Select the connector according to the installed conductor and PV circuit design: 30A for 2.5 mm², 45A for 4 mm², or 50A for 6 mm². Connector current rating should be considered together with cable ampacity, ambient temperature and the electrical design of the complete PV circuit.

Are silver-plated contacts available?

Yes. Tin-plated copper contacts are the standard UH-PC-MC01 configuration, while silver-plated copper contacts are available on request.

Is the UH-PC-MC01 waterproof?

The connector is rated IP67 when correctly assembled and fully mated. Proper cable preparation, sealing and complete mating are required to maintain the intended environmental protection.

Can UH-PC-MC01 be connected to a similar connector from another manufacturer?

Similar appearance or mating geometry does not by itself confirm electrical, mechanical or safety compatibility. For new installations, UHCCY recommends using matched connector components from the same connector family.

What tools are required for installation?

Installation requires cable preparation tools, a crimping tool and the appropriate connector assembly tools for the selected conductor size. UHCCY PV connector crimping tools and wrenches can be supplied with the connector system.
