Overview

Product Overview

UH-PW-AT01 is a CB-type automatic transfer switch designed to transfer electrical loads between a normal power source and a backup power source when the preferred supply becomes unavailable. When automatic mode is selected, the transfer mechanism monitors the power source and switches the load to the available backup supply; manual operation is also provided through the front selector and operating handle.
The compact NLQ1-63 platform is available in 2P, 3P and 4P configurations with selectable current ratings from 16A to 63A, 220V / 380V AC operating options and 50/60Hz frequency. Its CB-type construction combines automatic power transfer with breaker-based switching elements for compact low-voltage distribution applications.

Automatic Dual-Source Transfer

UH-PW-AT01 automatically transfers the connected load between a normal power source and a backup power source when the selected operating conditions require a source change.

Automatic & Manual Operation

The front selector allows automatic or manual operation, while the rotary handle provides direct manual control during commissioning, inspection or required manual transfer.

2P / 3P / 4P Configurations

The same product platform is available in two-pole, three-pole and four-pole versions for different single-phase and three-phase distribution arrangements.

16A to 63A Current Range

Selectable rated-current configurations from 16A to 63A allow the ATS platform to cover different low-voltage distribution loads.

CB-Type Switching Structure

The CB-type design uses breaker-based switching elements rather than a PC-class load-switch mechanism, providing a compact solution for automatic transfer and circuit switching.

1–2 Second Transfer Time

The supplier specifies a transfer time of approximately 1–2 seconds between power-source positions.

Selection

Choose the Correct UH-PW-AT01 Configuration

Select UH-PW-AT01 according to the power-system voltage, pole configuration and required load current. The rated current of the selected ATS should be matched to the circuit design and connected load, while the pole arrangement should correspond to the conductors that must be transferred between the normal and backup power sources.

Dimensions

UH-PW-AT01 uses the same compact operating mechanism across the 2P, 3P and 4P versions, while the overall width increases with the number of poles. The supplier drawing shows an overall height of approximately 138 mm and a main body / mounting height of approximately 112 mm.

Applications

Where This Product Is Used

Residential Electrical

Residential Electrical

Protection, switching and backup-power components for residential distribution boards and low-voltage electrical systems.

Solar PV Systems

Solar PV Systems

Protection, connectivity and distribution components for photovoltaic arrays, string circuits and related solar DC systems.

UH-PW-AT01 is intended for low-voltage installations that require automatic changeover between a normal and backup AC power source. Typical applications include residential and commercial distribution panels, small industrial equipment, generator-backed circuits, communication or monitoring equipment and other loads where temporary interruption during source transfer is acceptable.

Installation

Installation Guidance

1. Confirm that the selected UH-PW-AT01 configuration matches the AC system voltage, required pole arrangement and load current before installation.

2. Fully isolate both the normal power source and the backup power source before installing or wiring the automatic transfer switch.

3. Mount the ATS securely inside the electrical enclosure with sufficient clearance for power conductors, control terminals and manual handle operation.

4. Connect the normal power source to the terminals designated for Normal Power and connect the backup source to the corresponding Backup Power terminals according to the wiring diagram for the selected 2P, 3P or 4P configuration.

5. Connect the load conductors to the designated output terminals and verify correct phase, neutral and conductor arrangement before energizing either source.

6. After completing the wiring, check all terminal connections and confirm that no conductors are loose or incorrectly connected.

7. Test Manual mode first to confirm that the operating mechanism transfers correctly between the normal and backup source positions.

8. Set the selector to Automatic mode and perform a controlled transfer test by safely simulating loss of the normal supply. Confirm transfer to the backup source and return transfer after the normal source is restored.

9. Allow for the specified 1–2 second transfer interruption when evaluating connected loads. UH-PW-AT01 is an ATS and does not provide UPS-style no-break power continuity.

10. Installation, commissioning and maintenance should be performed by qualified electrical personnel in accordance with the applicable electrical system and local installation requirements.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is UH-PW-AT01 used for?

UH-PW-AT01 automatically transfers a connected load between a normal AC power source and a backup power source when the preferred supply becomes unavailable, helping restore power without requiring manual source selection.

What pole configurations are available?

UH-PW-AT01 is available in 2P, 3P and 4P configurations. Select the pole arrangement according to the conductors that must be transferred in the specific AC distribution system.

What current ratings are available?

The supplier specifies selectable current ratings from 16A to 63A for the NLQ1-63 platform. The exact ordered rating should be selected according to the connected load and circuit design.

Does UH-PW-AT01 support manual operation?

Yes. The ATS provides both automatic and manual operation. A front selector is used to choose the operating mode, while the rotary handle allows manual source transfer.

How fast does the ATS transfer between power sources?

The supplier specifies a transfer time of approximately 1–2 seconds. The connected load will therefore experience a temporary interruption during source transfer.

Is an automatic transfer switch the same as a UPS?

No. UH-PW-AT01 transfers a load from one AC power source to another and has a specified 1–2 second transfer interval. A UPS uses stored energy or power electronics to maintain load supply during an input interruption and may provide substantially shorter or zero interruption depending on its topology.

What does CB Type mean?

CB Type indicates that the transfer switching equipment uses circuit-breaker-based switching elements with overcurrent-trip functionality, rather than the load-switch execution structure used by PC-type transfer switches. Exact breaker characteristics such as breaking capacity and trip curve depend on the selected product configuration and should be confirmed from the technical documentation.

Can the backup source be a generator?

Yes, a suitable generator can be used as the backup AC source when its voltage, frequency, capacity and control characteristics are compatible with the ATS and connected load.

Can I use a solar inverter as the backup source?

A compatible AC-output inverter may be used as one of the AC power sources if its voltage, frequency and output capacity meet the requirements of the ATS and connected load. UH-PW-AT01 itself does not convert DC photovoltaic power to AC.
